
BOLAND – Mary Marie, 86, of Caledonia, formerly of Bangs Falls, passed away Wednesday, June 20, 2012 in Queens General Hospital, Liverpool.
Born in Molega Mines, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Ethel (Whynot) Sutherland.
Mary was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She worked at home, keeping the house, tending the garden and cattle and playing with her grandchildren. She loved to knit and listen to Tommy Hunter. Her chocolate fudge was enjoyed by everyone in the family.
She is survived by her daughter Virginia (Peter) Stafford of Red Deer, AB; daughter-in-law Linda Uhlman of Bangs Falls; grandchildren Sherri (Rudolph) Hebrang; Nicole (John) Cross; Stephanie (Corey) Tracy; Justin (Kelly) Stafford and nine great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband of 65 years Harley; son James and brother Chester.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool. A graveside memorial service will be held Monday, June 25th, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in South Brookfield Community Cemetery. No flowers by request. Sorry to hear about Mary. I enjoyed talking with her when Dad (Lawrence Tarr) lived at North Queens Nursing Home. They use to set at the same table during meals and Dad mentioned how the nice ladies at the table helped him find his food (he was blind).
Harvey use to stop and chat when he visited. Dad knew Grover Boland from Mersey Point and dad lived in Western Head.

So sorry to hear of Aunt Mary’s passing.Used to enjoy seeing her n Uncle Harley when we had doctors appointments at the same time when i lived in Liverpool.Uncle Harley n his truck, which he was proud of.Having a meal at Aunt Mary’s when i was little, visiting from their house to Aunt Jean’s, seems like it was a sunday tradition n always looked forward to it.
