
Bogataj, Antony 52, of Liverpool, formerly of Toronto, Ont. passed away suddenly on Friday January 4th, 2013 in Queens General Hospital, Liverpool.
Born in Toronto, he was the son of the late Joseph and Vida Bogataj.
Tony served with the Canadian Armed Services Reserves and did a tour in Egypt for the Department of National Defense. He was a former employee with the City of Toronto, retiring in 2000 due to ill health. He enjoyed being with family, especially his “ stepgrandchildren” and also enjoyed playing computer games such as “ free cell”.
He is survived by his companion Melody Rose Burgoyne, his “ stepdaughter” Laura Wentzell of Charleston, “ stepson” Mikey of Liverpool. Two “stepgranddaughters” Kyra and Jayla. His sister Mary Taylor of Mississauga Ont., nephews Michael and Nicholas Taylor and brother-in-law Stephen Taylor.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool where a memorial service will be held Wednesday January 16th, 2013 at 2.00 p.m. Reverend Vivian Moores officiating. A private family interment will take place at a later date. No flowers by request. Donations may be made to the family. Online condolences may be made to www.chandlersfuneral.com.
