
BISHOP – Deborah J., 79, of Brooklyn, Queens County, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, May 22, 2022.
Born in Toronto, ON, Deborah was a daughter of the late Percival and Alice (Young) Take.
Deborah will be remembered as a TESL teacher for many years teaching English as a second language. She loved gardening and won awards for her floral designs. In her younger years, Deborah enjoyed dancing and was a ballet dancer. She had many interests such as school band, equestrian, figure skating to name a few and was a stained glass artist.
Deborah is survived by her loving husband of 32 years, Roger; her daughters Laura Cowling of Lower Sackville, Robin (James) Edens of Edinburgh, Scotland and her son Peter (Renee Naugler) of Liverpool. Grandchildren Byron, Azlyn, Inigo and Zeata Edens; Matthew Baxter, Grace and Benjamin Cowling. Her sister Marilyn Wittstock of Toronto, ON.
Besides her parents, Deborah was predeceased by her brother William.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool, NS. At Deborah’s request, there will be no service. Online condolences may be made to www.chandlersfuneral.com

I’d like to offer my condolences to Deborah’s family. I stayed at her beautiful home for a spell in the 80’s in Bear River. I believe it is now an inn that was featured on Still Standing. She was always so inviting while I was there. So sorry for your loss.
