
Belong, Vera Grace, 80, of Dayspring, formerly of Pugwash, passed away on Wednesday, January 8th, 2014, at LaHave Manor, Dayspring.
Born in Sandy Point, Shelburne County, she was a daughter of the late Levi and Ann (Oickle) Belong.
Vera enjoyed shopping, watching movies and swimming. She was employed at Camp Hill Hospital, Halifax, for a number of years as a housekeeper.
She is survived by a son Denny (Sandra); son-in-law David McNeil; sisters Joan, Betty, Ruth, Margaret and Shirley.
She was predeceased by a daughter Annette Wamboldt; son David; sisters Doris and Ethel; brothers Ralph, Earl, Robert and Roland.
A graveside funeral service will be held on Friday, January 24th, 2014, at 11:00 a.m., from the Lower St. Peter’s Anglican Cemetery, West Green Harbour Road, West Green Harbour.
