
ANTHONY – Freeman Smith, 83, of Liverpool, Queens County passed away suddenly at home on Wednesday, August 24, 2016.
Born in Charleston, Queens County, he was a son of the late Clinton and Ruth (Connelly) Anthony.
Smith worked for the Former Thompson Bros. then for Steel and Engine Products Limited (STENPRO) for 47 years in the foundry. He enjoyed hunting and fishing in his early years, but especially enjoyed woodworking.
He is survived by his wife Evelyn “Ellis” (Malone); his daughter Evelyn (Barrie) Clark of Lower Sackville; his son Paul (Sandra) of St. Catherine’s, ON. 5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. His sister Jeanette (Sydney) Rafuse of Charleston.
He was predeceased by his daughter Joanne Dexter.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool, where visitation will be held Monday evening, August 29, 2016 from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. with prayers being said at 8:00 p.m. Reverend Judy Cross officiating.
