William Alfred “Bill” Alexander

ALEXANDER – William A. “Bill”, 78, of Mill Village, Queens County, passed away peacefully in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater, on Friday, March 26, 2021.
Born in Brooklyn, Queens County, Bill was a son of the late James and Elva (Nickerson) Alexander.
Bill served with the Canadian Coast Guard for 25 years was well as the Royal Canadian Navy. He was a security guard for a number of years. Bill was an avid chef and held a culinary arts degree and was regarded by his family and friends as a “fanatical” crib player. He will be lovingly and fondly remembered as a very giving and compassionate man.
Bill is survived by his daughter Melisa Hatt of Mill Village; his son William Trefry of Winnipeg, MN; his grandson Liam Trefry; his brother Dennis of Windsor.
Besides his parents, Bill was predeceased by his wife Donna (Hatt); his sister Marie Zwicker and his brother Raymond.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool, NS. A graveside memorial service will be held on Thursday, April 1, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. in Seaside Cemetery, Brooklyn. Reverend Judy Cross officiating.
