Condolence from Cathie Pearl-Wentzell on September 20th, 2016 4:15 pm

Donald, Anita and Peggy’s friend, please accept our sincerest condolences. I taught with Peggy for several years. She was a force to be reconned with and no one dared to sit in ‘her chair’ in the staff room. She hosted a bridal shower for me. I appreciated her ability to speak her mind, but most of all, I will remember her hearty laugh. May your memories bring comfort to you at this time.

Condolence from Cathy Wentzell on September 20th, 2016 4:41 pm

Donald and Family,
I am sorry to hear of Peggy’s passing. I taught with Peggy at the Brooklyn School
in Queens County. She taught both of my boys, as well. Peggy and I shared many a cup of tea
after her retirement. She spoke highly of you, Donald, and loved her New England vacation times.
Rest in peace, Peggy.

Condolence from Robert & Lorraine Quinn on September 21st, 2016 12:46 am

Lorraine and I are deeply saddened to hear that Peggy has passed away. We met Peggy many years ago when she first moved to Queens County, and over the years, she taught special needs children as a reading specialist and a Resource Teacher, and she also give hours of her time to help teachers with skills needed to help them work with children that needed that something extra and special, to help them succeed. Peggy was on my team in the eighties when I was in charge of special education programming for the newly formed Queens District School Board. We all valued our association with her, and were grateful for the knowledge she brought to the table. To her family, we extend our sincere condolences.

Condolence from Tim McDonald on September 22nd, 2016 9:37 pm

Dear Donald and Anita…so very sorry to hear of Peggy’s passing. I’ve known Peggy for many years and always enjoyed seeing her. You might remember sitting on my front lawn in Liverpool with Peggy to watch the Privateer Days parade a few years ago. When I moved to Halifax five years ago, Peggy was quick to contact me wanting to take me out for a “good bye” dinner at a local restaurant. We had a great time! She was so kind and caring and I will miss not seeing her. My sincere condolences to you both.

Condolence from Elaine Currier Keniston on September 23rd, 2016 9:17 am

Peggy was a good friend of mine when we attended New London High School , New London, New Hampshire, US. I knew her brother, Donald and her parents. I have not seen her since then. However, another classmate has kept us informed over the years. I’m not surprised to read the positive comments above about her personality and the quality of her teaching career. Yes, her laugh was delightful and memorable. As she has abandoned the physical garment and ascended to the spiritual world, may her soul fly like a bird out of this mortal cage. I offer my prayers for her ascension and my condolences to her family.

I hope she is in a fantastic place with her mom, dad and really great cheeseburgers,
With deepest sympathy,
Kristine Mosher

Peggy was a classmate at New London High School we were able to keep in touch visiting her in Nova Scotia and also summers in Maine. The internet has been our correspondence the last few years with occasional cards. I hadn’t realized how her health was falling until December when I last heard from Peggy.
