Artie and I wish to express our sadness to Carolyn’s family …Vic, and sons and daughter who we have never met. Carolyn was part of my growing up and teenage years and sadly I never kept good contact since I moved to Australia. I have been heartened to hear news over the years and know what a godly woman Carolyn was. We hope you all will find the strength you need in days ahead … even resting in what you likely already have found.

Dear Vic & family: Our love and prayers are with all of you as you say “good-bye” to a much-loved wife, mother and grandmother. She was also a dear friend to many of us. We have fond memories of when she first came to Halifax/Dartmouth in the mid-sixties. Her Mom phoned my Mom and asked if we might get in touch with Carolyn. Her Mom was worried about her little girl in the big city! She came over on several occasions, especially on our children’s birthdays. We also have fond memories of Vic and Carolyn’s visits at our little cabin the past several summers. It was wonderful to renew our friendships. God bless each one of you. Fred & Beverlee

Dear Uncle Vic, cousins: Danny, Nickie, Trevor and Donnie,
I will always have many fond memories of Carolyn from our visits to the cabin at Ponhook Lake; at our grandparent’s Mary and Lee Crooker’s home across the road on the hill in South Brookfield, Queens County, Nova Scotia; Brier Island and Digby, NS during our younger years.
On Saturday, April 15 as my family and I skied on top of a Swedish mountain I could just hear Carolyn saying, “Oh, my land Sarah it is beautiful up here!” on her way to Heaven.

Dear Vic and family: back in the far off days when I lived in Caledonia Cousin Carolyn was like a beloved little sister and a big sister to my kids and especially a mentor to my girls. We all have lots of happy memories of adventures with Carolyn! Later, our lives took us in different directions but I heard many stories of Carolyn’s achievements and of her devotion to our Lord. Now, she has gone to work with Him full time! Vic, I wish I was there to put am arm on your shoulder and stand beside you in support. However, you are in my prayers and will continue to be. “I am the Resurection and the life says the Lord” and this weekend we have been celebrating the glory of renewed life and hope. Carolyn is cheering us on!
