Smith;

SMITH – Barrie M., 70 of Liverpool, Queens County passed away suddenly at home on Friday, December 19, 2014.
Born in Liverpool, he was a son of the late Lester and Louise (Joudrey) Smith.
Barrie worked as a maintenance custodian for the Queens County Museum for 10 years. He was a member of the Hollow Log Rifle and Pistol Club and Queens Archers and taught archery. He was an instructor for hunter safety courses for a number of years.
He is survived by his sister Greta Titus of Liverpool and a number of nieces and nephews including his special niece, Kim (Don) Kook of Liverpool.
He was predeceased by his brother Edward.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool. A graveside memorial service will be held Saturday, January 3, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in Zion United Cemetery, Payzant Street, Liverpool. Reverend Judy Cross officiating. No flowers by request, donations may be made to the Canadian Red Cross or to the Queens County Victorian Order of Nurses. Online condolences may be made to www.chandlersfuneral.com

I am so sorry to hear of Barrie`s passing. Over 35 years ago Barrie and I taught Hunter Safety, when he was working at MEMCO. Whenever we met each other on the street, we were always able to catch up on current issues. He will certainly be missed.

We grew up together and had some very good times as young people. Barrie will always be missed by me and all the great friends he accumulated over the years.

We are so sorry to hear of his sudden passing. Barry lived across from my Mom,, in an apartment. My Mother had gotten cancer, and for her last two years, I had spent everyday with.her. John and myself got to know him very. He was a special man whom would talk to you about everything. He was very knowledgeable about our town of Liverpool, he always made time for my Mom. So sorry to hear of Barrie’s passing. I knew him when we both attended archery shoots and meetings of the Queens Archers’ Association. Barry was a good friend of the Corbett family and we all often chatted with him at the store. We will miss this greatly! Barry was a very knowledgeable man. As members of the gun club we often saw him there when he was an active member particulary in the 1970s. Barry was always active and interested in life. Kind hearted and friendly.
