To the family of a great guy ,we are so sorry to hear of Doug passing. He was a joy to talk to.And he will be missed by not just a few ,but all of Liverpool. Mike&Sandy
We are sad that Dougie is not going to be in town to say hi to, to drive somewhere or to chitchat with. We fondly remember the many times he sat at our kitchen table and ‘chewed the fat’ and Dougie would say ‘I’m satisfied’ and he truly was satisfied and lived a great life with a lot of friends. Gerald and Dougie would often do stuff around the place and Dougie taught Gerald to use a chainsaw (to my chagrin). One day I mentioned that i wanted my mailbox in a different spot. When I got back from work in Halifax, it was moved. Dougie moved it for us and it is still there even now. We will miss his distinctive voice telling us stuff about the history of where we live and who we met. We will miss Dougie. We have shed a tear for Dougie. Our thoughts are with his family who he loved.

I remember meeting ‘DOUGIE’ when my mom use to get her hair cut by ‘PEARL’ in MILTON. Then when i worked at TIM’S he was a regular. One of the good guys. Please know that you will see ‘DOUGIE’ again , and may this ease your pain. Sincerely, Wanda Horton
