Dear Shirley and Myril,

I was very sorry to hear about Donny's passing. At 99 he lived a very long life one to remember with fondness. I have a wooden out house that Donny gave my years ago on a visit and I shall treasure it all the more now.
My prayers are with you and your family.

Dear Shirley and Myril
So sorry to hear of Donny's passing. He was a kind and gentle man. What a memory, Jim and I loved to listen to his stories. He lived a long life and was loved by all who knew him. For a man with his disabilities, he was a marvel - down stairs to do his laundry, scrapping and painting the front veranda - he always amazed us. A remarkable and kind and interesting man. We will all miss him. We know he will always be in your heart. Our thought and prayers are with you.
Love
Aunt Greta and Uncle Jim

I was so very sorry to hear of your father's passing...he lived a remarkable life I'm sure and will be remembered by family and friends who have many fond and wonderful memories to cherish. The video was a lovely tribute, I enjoyed watching it.

shirley and family.........
when I look back to the 50's, it makes me wander where all the years went. the little pond out front of your house, where we used to skate. the home made icecream your mom would make. the swing on the front porch. the pear tree by the back door that we would climb at nite. your dad knew . he was a character reference for me when I lost my drivers licence back in 1964. he was in my eyes, a very gentle soft spoken man. from the old school so to speak, because I don't every remember him getting mad at anyone.I only have fond memories of him.ever so gentle he was.
now, he is with god and your mother..........take care love to all

To Donalda & Leon, Shirley & Myril: Thinking of you in the loss of Uncle Donnie. As a young girl, I spent many hours at Aunt Lily & Uncle Donnie's house and many a Saturday night eating Aunt Lily's homemade brown bread and baked beans! I always envied the clematis climbing up the side of the verandah and now I have several of my own. Uncle Donnie was the most patient man I have ever known and I know he will be missed. Love to you all, Linda
