Lester was a frequent visitor in the South Brookfiled Post Office. He always had a joke to tell & loved to flirt with the customers & the PostMaster too! His visits were always a highlite and it brings back warm, laughing memories!! So sorry to hear of his passing, but with his personality, I can always conjer up a funny memory.

Mona just sent me an e-mail and informed me of Lester’s death and I struggle now to find the right words. It’s already hard in my own language, not to say in a foreign one. And what are the right words anyway when it comes to the death of a beloved person? I don’t know, but I remember myself of something Lester often said to me, when I was invited over for a nice dinner: don’t be bashful. He was right and so he’ll always take a place inside my mind, cause he really was one of a kind. My thoughts are with all of you that I had the pleasure to meet during my short time in Nova Scotia. Lester was always a lot of fun to be around. He loved life & everyone around him. He always had time for a chat & a joke. I was saddened to hear of his passing. May God give U all Comfort & his Blessing.
