Condolence from Brian and June Hingston on November 30th, 2017 12:18 pm

Micheal and family: Sorry does not convey the thoughts and feelings we wish to extend to you all. We had not been here but a few days when Michael arrived with a “welcome to the community cake” Corrie had baked. She came over a few days later to walk me around the gardens and explained what the flowers were and what to expect in the spring.
Although we did not know Corrie very long she has left an indelible imprint on our hearts. Each time I work in the gardens I’ll think of Corrie. Brian will always remember Corrie’s chocolate cake.

We are so sorry to hear the news of Corrie’s passing. She was a unique character and, once a friend, she was a staunch friend for life. We too will toast her with a ‘drink at the sink.’ Nothing anyone can say will assuage the profound sense of loss at a time such as this but something I recently came across may help put it into perspective. The composer George Gershwin put it best when he said ‘Her song may have ended but her melody lingers on.’ Here’s to Corrie.
