Leslie had a long and good life and we had a great visit with him about a week ago, reflecting about Herring Rock, fishing and hunting stories, he had a great memory right up until the last. He and his late wife, Viola (Vidie) were great friends with Ira’s parents and will cherish memories from them in the coming years.
God Bless and time will heal the pain.

Condolence from Tim McDonald on November 4th, 2010 6:05 pm

My sincere condolences to Leslie’s family. I met him at the local bowling alley a few years back and for a man in his 90s he still did very well on the lanes, usually bowling the highest on the seniors league, many who were much younger than he was. I haven’t seen him for a while but always enjoyed sharing a story with him at the alleys. He was a special person and will be missed.

Condolence from Terri and Brad Longmire on November 10th, 2010 6:54 pm

To the MacDonald Family:

I was quite close to the family all through the years as Leslie was so close with my grandparents, Lena and Charlie Huskins. Of course, Heather and I have been best friends since we were very little. It breaks my heart to know that you are grieving at this time. However, Leslie lived a long, wonderful life. He is at peace now with Vidie eventhough he has left us for now. We will see him again someday. I hope that this gives you all some comfort. Brad and I send our deepest sympathies to you all at this difficult time.

Condolence from Gary, Sandra , Heather, Chris Lawson on November 11th, 2010 4:21 pm

Uncle Leslie was a great person. He was respected and loved by all who knew him.

The MacDonald family always had hard times and challenges but they overcame them to make a better life for themselves.

There were happy times and sad times but they made it through.

Uncle Leslie loved to talk of his experiences with fishing, hunting, bowling or family and friends. He will be missed.

Enjoy each day and make the most of them. Life is too short to worry or complain.

Condolence from Valerie and Donald Inness on November 17th, 2010 3:52 pm

Dear Family:
As we watched the presentation of Leslie’s Life,we were one of the very lucky ones who got to attend many of the birthday celebrations. There was no one who could made ice cream and birthday cakes like Vivdy. I am sure that Leslie had a few cranks at the ice cream maker, added the right amount of ice and salt. What good times we had. Life was filled with laughter. Those were the good memories they shared with us. Thank you!
Love
Donald and Valerie
