Condolence from Janice-Lee Elizabeth (Eldora) Jollimore on July 22nd, 2011 12:46 pm

Aunt Vivian was a loving, caring and giving woman. When she saw me she used to call me by my whole name and added a name of her own in there too. Yes, Eldora, I have no idea where she got the idea of putting this name in mine but for whatever reason it just seemed to fit. I will miss being called this very much.. Not only did she care for her four children, she took care of all of the neighbourhood’s children too. You could always count on getting cookies or cake when you visited her house and if she didn’t have the baked goodies, she would always have homemade bread with butter and sugar or cucumbers with a bowl of brown sugar for dipping. Yes, these may sound weird but they were soooooo good. Once we had our visit and treats at her house we would go on our merry way play some more and then go home and of course, we would be bouncing off the walls with all the sugar in us. Our parents, I don’t think, had a clue why we had so much energy and never caught on for many years.
I remember going camping with her and Uncle Jordan and having a lot of fun. I will miss her very much. My heart and prayers go out to my Uncle Jordan and to my cousins, Danny, Susan, Debbie and Kevin and all of her grandchildren, great grandchild and the rest of her family. Take care and always remember that your memories of her are never far away – You will always have her in your hearts.
Love you greatly,
Janice-Lee

Condolence from Roger & Patricia Freeman & Family on July 22nd, 2011 2:41 pm

I was shocked to hear of Vivian’s passing, but we knew someday we would hear, but only God knew when.
God only takes the best and to be sure there is no more pain God took Vivian from us.
I’ll always remember the laughs we had from 1963 on , and things we laughed about, and lots we talked over just the two of us.
Vivian was a great person, wonderful friend and no one can fill her shoes in any way, as it was Vivian and Vivian only.

I’ll always remember and think of Vivian, she was a tremendous person, true friend, excellent Mom, grandmother, and great grandmother and most of all she loved her husband Jordan.

Vivian, you have left us, and Roger and I have great memories over the past 48 years….you have left us, but never to be forgotten.

Jordan, you have our deepest symathy and you will be in my prayers and deepest sympathy to all of your family, your brother and your two sisters as well.
Vivian’s children, think of the good times, and hold those memories dear to your heart.

Deepest and Sincere Sympathy

Jordan, Deb, Sue, Danny, Kevin & Family:

Please know and take comfort in the knowledge that your lovely mother touched the hearts of so many people, both young and old. Steve and I both loved to see her come into CT shopping. She was always so stylish and pretty, always smiling and laughing.

I remember her shortening a bridesmaid’s dress for Jannine so she could wear it to the musical festival. She thought it was awful that her girls couldn’t sew!

Her essence will always be with you and you will find it after the hurt and grief ease a little. Mothers don’t stop looking over their children and your mother was one of the best.

Thinking of you all at this hard time. God Bless,,,Love, Vic & Steve

Deb, Sue, Kevin, Danny, Jordan and all the families. We have all grown up together through the years, our mothers were best friends, Deb we have followed in their footsteps. We know what you all are going through as just 8 months ago friday we were where you are at. We have had the greatest mother’s in the world and to lose them was a great loss to have to bear. Yes we all know that it is better to have the Lord take them and have them free of pain and suffering, but we just don’t want them to leave us. We know that it will get better as time goes on, but I will tell you this first year is hell. Each time you go past a special occasion it is hard but they tell me that after the first year is over it does get a little better. I know for a fact that Mom and Vivan are together up in heaven as that is what friends do. Take time to grieve, then remember all the good times and the sad. Keep the pictures of the happy occasions around and talk to them as much as you want cuz it does help. When people ask about her talk about how wonderful she was cuz she was loved by many. That is something to be proud of. Take care and many blessing and prayers will be sent to you all. Love you all. xo

No words or actions can ever begin to take away the sorrow that you are feeling. My heart is with you Jordan, along with all of the family. I can not say I know how you are feeling, but I do realize how much of a difficult time it must be and want you to know my heart is with you all. Unfortunately, I didn’t get a real chance to know Vivian on a personal side, but what I did know is she was a very classy, wonderful lady filled with kindness and love, and a smile and laugh that could carry through the whole room. I remember the first time she came to Alberta for a visit, and anyone could truly see how much in love Jordan and Vivian were. They had a very special marriage that set an example for all they knew. I will always admire the true devotion that they shared through their lives. I know Vivian will be missed sadly by so many, but the memories that she leaves with each and everyone of us will go on forever.

Condolence from Sharilyn Conrad on August 17th, 2011 11:02 am

I am sorry to hear of Viv’s passing; I have been on vacation and didn’t realize until today.

When she lived in Port Mouton and was busy having little ones, she often visited Grammie Sophie and put up with me playing with Debbie as a baby. Considering that Debbie is only a few years younger than I, she must have been horrified to see me trying to carry her around as though she was the newest things in dolls.

Viv had a great zest for life, and my condolences to her kids, who I know will miss her terribly.
