Inness – Robert Malcolm, 91, of Port Mouton, passed away peacefully in North Queens Nursing Home, Caledonia on Friday, February 2nd, 2018.
Born in Beech Hill Farms, Queens County, he was a son of the late Robert O. and Marie C. (Blaney) Inness.
Robert served in the Merchant Marines during WWII. He was employed for many years at Stenpro as an Oil Burner Foreman and in the shipping department, retiring in 1982. He loved gardening, fishing and hunting.
He is survived by his loving wife of 73 years, Mona (Latham); son, Donald (Valerie), of Port Mouton; grandson, Adrian, of Dartmouth; many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by sisters; Rosanna, Roberta; brothers Harvey, Smith, Eugene, Arthur and Jordan.
A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, February 8th, 2018 at 11:00 a.m., followed by a reception, all from Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool. Burial will be held in Peaceful Hill Cemetery, Port Mouton. Family flowers only, donations may be made to Peaceful Hill Cemetery, Port Mouton. Donald and family: Sending condolences to you all. I will miss Bob at the Home as he would come in and ask me if I had anything good to eat and when I would say i have some candy his face would lite and say that would be good. He would sit there with me and eat a bar. We will surely miss him and i am still off with my TKR so have not seen him for awhile. Thinking of you.

So sorry to hear of Bob’s passing. He was a legend at the hunting camp for many years. We always enjoyed his interactions with Maurice(chief camp cook) and the many fun card games played back there. He was a wonderful story teller and we will be left with the many great memories of him forever. My Dad(Murray) always thought highly of Bob and his wealth of knowledge in fixing things.
