Callaghan, Tammy Lynn

CALLAGHAN, Tammy Lynn  – 41, of Westfield, Queens Co., passed away Sunday, January 17, 2010, in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Liverpool, she was the daughter of LeRoy and Maxine (Croft) Mansfield. Family was very important to Tammy, she was especially proud of her children. She worked at the North Queens Nursing Home as a PCW. Tammy was well-known for her gift of writing poetry. She won numerous awards and even had some of her work published. She is survived by her husband, Joe; daughter Brittany; sons, Steven, Kyle, all at home; brothers, Steven (Cheryl), of Harmony; James (Lori), of Harmony; Gary (Suanne), of Hibernia; Terry (Tabatha Dorey), of Caledonia. She was predeceased by her niece, Myra Mansfield. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool. A memorial service will be held Friday, January 22 at 2 p.m., from Caledonia United Baptist Church. Rev. John Boddy officiating. Burial will be held at a later date.     Tammy was always meant to be a Mom, we first met her as Cara’s baby-sitter. She looked after Cara with maturity & so much love for someone only in her teens w/o the practice of her own kids yet.
