Linda Rosalie Baker

Linda “Bristol” Baker,  of Red Deer, AB formerly of Liverpool, daughter of Geraldine and Mike Cushing of Liverpool,  died peacefully at the age of 47 with her loving family by her side after a long six year battle with A.L.S.

             Linda is survived by her two children. Her son Paul (Houaida) Baker and her daughter Sarah (Danny) Giesbrecht. Her precious grandchildren Kaiden, Colton and Dylan all of Red Deer, AB. Her sisters: Christine, Wanda, Stephanie, Sherry and her brother Glen as well as many nieces and nephews. Linda fought a long, courageous battle with A.L.S. with the help of her three dedicated, loving, caregivers Marrissa, Melina and Helen, all of Red Deer.

Linda will be sadly missed. With her bright smile and her loving ways, she touched the hearts of everyone who knew her. Mom’s favorite quote was “Live like you were dying”.

She was predeceased by her husband Greg of 25 years, her maternal grandparents Ronald and Nora Lowe. 

Visitation will be today (Saturday, December 5th, 2009) from 7 until 9 p.m. and funeral service will be Sunday, December 6th, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. both in Chandlers’ Funeral Chapel, Liverpool. Chaplain Donald Lawton officiating. Burial will be in Trinity Anglican Cemetery, Liverpool. Family flowers only, donations may be made to ALS Society.
