Anthony, Irene Frances, 81, of Milton, Queens County, passed away Monday, April 25th, 2011, in the Queens General Hospital, Liverpool, surrounded by her  loving family.     

Born in Halifax, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Mabel (Kinsman) Jollimore.

She grew up in Mersey Point and moved to Milton when she married Thomas, her husband of 61 years. She held employment positions at Queens General Hospital, Crouse’s Bakery and was head cashier for many years at the Metropolitan Store in Liverpool.

One of her great passions was camping and she and her husband spent many years traveling with their trailer. In later years they moved their trailer to Ponhook Lake and spent most of the spring, summer and autumn months at their site beside the lake. She loved playing games with her camping friends, Mary and Jeanette. The other love of her life was her family. She loved to visit with them and enjoyed good times and laughter.

She is survived by her husband Thomas; daughter Gail (Harry) Gardner; sons Wayne (Suzan), Ronald (Rose); grandchildren Lisa (Jeff), Rebecca (Jonathan), Patricia (Vincent), Adrian (Nicole), Julie (Mike) and Melissa; great grandchildren Holly, Colton, Taya, Elijah, Grace, Kealey, Madison, Ethan and Dakota.

She was predeceased by an infant daughter.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool. A private family graveside service will take place at a later date. Family flowers only.
