Roy, Melissa Wendy, 48, of Waterville, Kings County, formerly of South West Port Mouton, passed away Thursday, August 25th, 2011, at the Kings Regional Rehabilitation Centre, Waterville.
Born in Liverpool, she is a daughter of Elaine (Williams) Roy, of Liverpool and the late Charles Roy.
Melissa enjoyed making noises and listening to music.
She is survived by her brother Mitchell (Wendy) of Port Mouton; nieces Tanya (Todd) Leslie, Tasha Roy (Kevin Whynot).
She was predeceased by her brother Clayton.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral and Cremation Services, Liverpool. A Private Family Service will be held at a later date. Johnson; Gordon Garth “Gardner”

Johnson, Gordon Garth “Gardner”, 80, of Brooklyn, passed away on Wednesday, August 24th, 2011, in Queens General Hospital, Liverpool.
Born in Danesville, Queens County, on April 6th, 1931, he was a son of the late C. Clifford and Hazel (Whynot) Johnson.
He worked hard all of his life and loved spending time with his family and friends. Gardner worked doing mechanic work at Earl Illsley’s Garage for 14 years, he also cut wood and later worked as an oiler at the Bowater Mersey Paper Company. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and woodsman. These last few years he enjoyed going to the trailer in Middleton, N.S., where he spent many hours going to yard sales and playing crib.
He is survived by his loving wife, the former Joan Wentzell; son Steven (Peggy Jollimore); daughter Gail (John) Meisner, all of Brooklyn; his dearly loved grandchildren Brett and Hayley Meisner; brothers Algar, Clifford (Donna), both of Brooklyn, Norwood, of Maitland Bridge; many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a brother Armond.
Visitation will be held Sunday, August 28th, 2011, from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m., and a Funeral Service will be held Monday, August 29th, 2011, at 11:00 a.m., both from Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool. Clarke, Elizabeth Anne, 48, of Milton, Queens County, passed away on Wednesday, August 24th, 2011, in the Queens General Hospital, Liverpool, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Halifax, she is the daughter of Frederick and Marilyn (Wolfe) Clarke, of East Port l’Hebert.
Teaching was Elizabeth’s passion. She was employed for a number of years at the Queens Learning Network, first working with children at the Family Resource Center before becoming a teacher for the Queens Adult Learning Network. She enjoyed swimming, her flowers, doing her Sudoku puzzles and watching the real estate markets.
She is survived by her companion John Joudrey; daughter Lyndsay Belair, of Dartmouth; son Connor Clarke, at home; brother Jamie (Gail), of East Port l’Hebert.
Visitation will be held Friday, August 26th, 2011, from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m., and a Celebration of Elizabeth’s life will be held Saturday, August 27th, 2011, at 2:00 p.m., both from Chandlers’ Funeral Chapel, Liverpool. McLeod, Gwendolyn Helen, 72, of Brooklyn, Queens County, passed away on Friday, August 19th, 2011, in the QEII Health Sciences Centre, Halifax.
Born in Bridgewater she is the daughter of Gwendolyn “Girlie” (Levy) Wolfe and the late Stanley Wolfe.
Gwen helped form the Brooklyn Brownie corps, where she was a leader for a number of years, before becoming a leader with the Brooklyn Girl Guides. She worked many jobs in retail over the years before going to work at the Brooklyn Post Office. She had many hobbies that she enjoyed, such as knitting, rug hooking, ceramics and shopping. She enjoyed traveling with her family to the power boat races they competed in throughout Eastern Canada and the United States and driving to Florida with Reg for winter vacations.
She is survived by her loving husband Reginald; sons Terry (Norma), of Sheet Harbour, Gary (Sharon), of Brooklyn, Michael (Ann), of Liverpool, Danny, of Brooklyn; grandchildren Devin, Amber, Cody, Cory; great grandson Ayden; sister Carolyn (Don) Kriwokan, of Surrey, B.C.; close family friend Wayne, of Lunenburg.
A Graveside Funeral Service will be held Monday, August 22nd, 2011, at 2:30 p.m., from Seaside Community Cemetery, Brooklyn. Reverend Steven Hopper officiating. Family flowers only. MacLeod; Richard Allan

MacLeod, Richard Allan, 75, of Milton, passed away in Queens General Hospital, Liverpool on Thursday, August 18th, 2011.
Born in Milton, he was a son of the late Marguerite (MacDonald) and Donald MacLeod.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. Richard started working at the age of 13 with his father at the family garage. He worked there for 28 years while also driving school bus. He then went to work for the Bowater Mersey Paper Co. for the next 15 years, retiring as fire chief of the mill. Richard served in the Liverpool fire department for 32 years, spending a number of years as chief. He was a lifetime member of the Maritime Fire Chiefs Association. He was the founder of the Liverpool Junior Fire Department and also helped to pass legislation for benefits for members of volunteer organizations. Richard was a huge fan of the Toronto Blue Jays and in his spare time he enjoyed trucking with Arthur DeMone. In his later years he enjoyed being a snowbird, spending 19 years camping in Florida, and camping with his friends at Seabreeze FCRV.
He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Doreen; son Ricky of Western Head; daughter Trina of Kempt; grandchildren Christopher, Makayla and Adelaide; sisters Ruth (Bob) MacDonald, Marina Jesso and Stephanie Wilson all of Milton and Barbara MacLeod of Mill Village; brother Reginald (Gwendolyn) of Sandy Cove.
He was predeceased his brother Phillip.

Ozon, Gordon Murray, 26, of Liverpool, passed away in Liverpool, on Monday, August 15th, 2011, as a result of an ATV Accident.
Born in Liverpool, he was the son of Lisa Ozon and stepson of Ricky Cunningham, of Liverpool.
Gordon was happiest when he was in the woods camping and fishing. He also loved working on cars, drawing, and anything to do with computers.
He is survived by his companion Ashley Henderson; daughter Chloe Smith; son Taylan Ozon; sister Cindy Ozon; brother Jamie Whynot; half sister Felicia; half brother Tyler; niece Sara Ozon; grandmother Gloria Ozon (Murray Stickles); step grandparents Glenda and Morris Cunningham.
He was predeceased by his grandfather Kevin Ozon.

FANCY – Barbara M., 70, of Liverpool, passed away peacefully into the arms of her Lord on Sunday, August 14th, 2011 with her husband and children at her side.
Born in Liverpool, she was the daughter of Marion May (Wagner) Whynot and the late Reginald Whynot.
Barb was a housekeeper for a number of years for numerous households in Liverpool. She also enjoyed cooking, especially Christmas dinners in which she took great pride. Barb will be fondly remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother who always enjoyed her time with family. Barb was a collector of many things; her specialty being angels which decorated every corner of her home.
She is survived by her husband, Ronald Sr. of 51 years August 6th, as well as her children: Ronald Jr. (Nora) of White Point; Charmaine Colp (Gerald Kennedy) of Red Deer, AB; Charlotte Fancy of White Point; Raymond (Trista) of Amherst. Grandchildren Kristen and Leslie Fancy, Devin (Megan) Colp and Justin (Julia) Colp, Makayla and Mallory Fancy and Nicole Whynot (Nick Giles). Great grandchildren Nolan, Kaiden and Aidan. Sisters: Phyllis (Sandy) Soderstrum of Chilliwack, BC.; Margie (Carleton) Manthorne of Mill Village; Patty (Roger) Whynot of Liverpool. CROFT – Eva St. Cecilia, 89, of Hillsview Acres, Middlefield, formerly of Milton, Queens County, passed away peacefully in Queens General Hospital, Liverpool on Tuesday, August 9th, 2011.
Born on October 22, 1921, she was a daughter of the late Roy and Nellie (Murphy) Croft.
Eva will be fondly remembered as a warm and generous person who enjoyed cooking and baking and was a talented seamstress who could do “magic” with a needle and thread. She enjoyed watching Television especially talk shows like “Jerry Springer” and the game show network. She had a strong love for animals especially “Lady”.
She is survived by her son Frank (Jane) of Milton. Grandsons: Richard (Tammy Lannan) of Milton and Duane (Elizabeth) DesRosiers of Chatham, ON. Grand daughter Paula (Ted) Kennedy of Ilderton, ON. Great-grandchildren Andrew Croft of Milton, Jessilyn, Joel, Quinn, Lauryn and Taryn Kennedy of Ilderton, On, Dominic and Jacqueline DesRosiers of Chatham, ON. Her sister Elsie (Doug) Wamboldt of Milton.

WEAGLE – S. Murdock “Doc”, 73, of Liverpool, passed away peacefully Sunday, August 7th, 2011 at Queens General Hospital, Liverpool with his children by his side.
Born in Liverpool, he was a son of the late Albert and Evelyn (Bell) Weagle.
Murdock began his sea career first on gypsum boats then sailed aboard scallop draggers; “Bickerton Pride”, “Flying Cloud”, “Mersey Enterprise” and “Mersey Seven” for over 35 years with Mersey Seafoods out of Liverpool which allowed him to travel to various ports of the world such as China, Portugal, Mexico and the US. When he was not out to sea and when he retired, Murdock enjoyed wood working, glass etching, listening to music and especially spending time with his family and his friends.
He is survived by his daughters Karen George of Dartmouth, Karla (Kendell) Colp of Beach Meadows. His son Kevin (Karen Dean) of Mersey Point. His grandchildren Ashley and Tanner George, Kennedy Colp and Aaron Weagle, Cody Whalen and Melissa Penny. His sisters Florence (Clair) Thistle of Liverpool, Ellen (Jack) MacLeod of Milton and Ann (Vernon) Sperry of Liverpool. His brother Albert “Jr” of Oromocto, NB.
He was predeceased by his sisters Phyllis and Dorothy Comeau.
At Murdock’s request, his body has been donated to science. ANTHONY – Wayne Thomas James, 59, of Milton, Queens County, passed away suddenly on Saturday, August 6th, 2011.
Born in Milton, he was a son of Thomas Anthony of Milton and the late Irene (Jollimore) Anthony.
Wayne was a former employee of STENPRO before joining Michelin, Bridgewater where he worked for 34 years. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather who enjoyed hunting and doing mechanical work. We hope that wherever he is, he will get to meet the late Dale Earnhardt Sr. who he spent many years cheering on every Sunday.
Surviving besides his father is his wife Suzan (Freeman); daughters Patricia (Vincent “Jr.”) Whynot and Julie Anthony (Mike Millard), both of Milton. Grandchildren Holly and Colton Whynot, Madison and Dakota Millard. Sister Gail (Dr. Reverend Harry) Gardener of Kentville and brother Ronald (Rose) of Milton.
